The nightly rate is $165/night. You must book for a minimum of four nights in the months of June-September and three nights in the months of October-May
Book for a week (7 days) to get a reduced rate! The weekly rate is $1000 (savings of over $20 a night).
All bookings require an additional cleaning fee of $75.There are no additional fees.

Yes. The beauty of this cottage is its remote and rural location. So a car IS needed to get to cottage, to town and to incredible nearby sites: beaches, caves, ruins, and more.
Be forewarned: the roads are narrow and windy.
Cottage is located in Ardara, Donegal County, Ireland. Ardara is 3.5 hours drive from Dublin, 2.5 hours from Belfast, and 20 minutes from the town of Donegal.
Specific directions to the cottage will be emailed once booking is complete.
Downtown Ardara is 1.5 miles away: Here, there’s a grocer called Centra, a pharmacy, Heritage Center (with cafe for tea & pastries); and a number of other pubs.
With two bedrooms and one bathroom, the cottage is best suited for 1-4 travelers. However, it has 3 beds and can technically fit up to 6.
We have had families with kids of all ages who have stayed at Ardlougher and loved their time at the cottage!

We have been renting the cottage since 2016. Since then, we have had over 50 bookings and continue to hear nothing but positive reviews!
The cottage is entirely family-run. Catherine (in Washington, DC) handles all bookings, questions, concerns, and travel suggestions. Her daughter and daughter-in-law manage the website and Instagram account. Cousins Janet & Brian are local hosts, there to greet you and manage property for our family. They will show you a few key items: how to light turf fire, use the shower, and light the stove, as well as orienting you to the beautiful surroundings.
