Who We Are

A Cottage Steeped in Family History

We are so excited to welcome you to Ardlougher Cottage which has been in our family for generations. Tucked away in the side of a mountain, surrounded by sheep, this traditional cottage is the perfect getaway. Ardlougher offers spectacular views of the mountains, the ocean, and the beautiful countryside, yet is only a mile from the welcoming village of Ardara. The cottage is entirely family-run with both US-based and local hosts to accommodate all your travel needs.

Available for weekly and nightly rentals

  • $165 nightly rate plus one-time $75 cleaning fee
  • Reduced rate for weekly rentals: $1000 for 7 days plus one-time cleaning fee of $75
  • 4 night minimum during months of June-September; 3 night minimum October-May 

Accommodates up to 6 guests

  • 2 bedrooms (one large with two double beds; one small with one double bed) 
  • 1 bath (with shower)

'Ardara - A Tale Woven Through Time' is a new short film about the town of Ardara produced by Lauren McHugh and Natalie Lough in Awake Tourism and written/directed by Ciaran Dorrian. The film speaks to the culture, history, nature and crafts of the town.
